Ms Bogolo Kenewendo
The program leader, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo, is an active community developer with over 10 years as a youth activist. She is a two time Botswana youth representative to the United Nations general Assembly (2009-2010) and Conference on climate Change (Cop15) during which she represented the global youth in a discussion with Ban Ki Moon on ‘The Future we want’. She is also an alumni for the USA President’s Young African Leaders Initiative, a Chevening scholarship Alumni (Prestigious UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and honoree of the 2012 The Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) JCI Botswana award. Bogolo is known widely as an Economist/Consultant, a media economics commentator and columnist. She hold an Msc in International Economics from University of Sussex. Ms Thato Bolokwe The resource mobilization officer, Thato Bolokwe, is currently the Business Sector Coordinator at BOCCIM under the Policy Advocacy Unit where she is responsible for ensuring the efficient implementation of BOCCIM’s business agenda, through advocating for private sector interests. She began her career as an Economic Planner at the North East District Council and represent BOCCIM at various committees such as the National Doing Business and the Technical Committee on Export Development and Investment Promotion. |
Ms Kabelo Ngwenya
The strategy officer, Ms Kabelo Ngwenya, is a professional accountant, research analyst and management consultant. She is a founding member of the Molaya Kgosi Women Leadership and Mentorship Programme initiative and has previously been involved in a number of outreach programmes targeting prisons and the less fortunate. Kabelo is also the current treasurer of the organisation having previously served as an officer of the organisation’s monitoring and evaluation arm, and as deputy treasurer for the Botswana Youth United Nations Association. Ms Tebogo Oletile
The Public relations officer, Tebogo Oletile, is passionate about International, public & media relations. She holds a bachelor of Arts in Communications and Diploma in Law ( Human Rights). She has represented the country in different forums in Singapore, Namibia, South Africa & Swaziland. She has previously been involved in the women entrepreneurship development programme through Centre for the development of Enterprise (CDE). Tebogo also sits on various committees including 2 Sector Level Consultative Councils and the Vision2016 Awareness Committee. |
Ms Karen Temwa Phiri
The Legal advisor, Karen Temwa Phiri, is a commercial litigation lawyer with Armstrongs Attorneys. She has worked in legal private practice, as a part-time in-house advisor, as a radio legal feature contributor and is a women empowerment activist. Karen studied with University of Botswana and is currently pursuing a Masters degree with the University of Liverpool. Outside legal practice, Karen is the main contributor to a personal motivational blog and also mobilized the University of Botswana Law Society in community outreach projects aimed at empowering the Youth as President in 2008-2009. Ms Nomakhosi Mookodi The Logistics officer, Nomakhosi Mookodi, graduated from the University of Botswana October 2013. She is currently an intern at Botswana Investment and Trade Center in the Special Economic Zones. During her time at the university she was the assistant Secretary General of Botswana Youth for United Nations Association which was aimed at increasing the participation of Batswana youth on the international platform. She was also the coordinator of Young Women's leadership club as well as a participant of feminist action based research which is an initiative by African Gender Institute. |
